Flower House Detroit

collective art project

Flower House was a three-day large-scale botanical installation in a foreclosed, blighted home in Hamtramck, Michigan, created by a team of 37 designers and over 100 volunteers. Cutting edge florists from Michigan and across the country filled the walls and ceilings of the abandoned house with American-grown fresh flowers and living plants for a weekend installation to help tear down the house responsibly. The lot is now a flower farm welcoming the neighborhood.

The original film of this went viral and helped fundraising and bring 3,000+ people together.
